FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: used to repair locomotives and railway cars. A small-sized wheel lathe for processing wheel sets of locomotives and railway cars without rolling out consists of a frame, longitudinal guides, a support, transverse guides and a tool holder, with the possibility of rotation and fixation in a plane parallel to the plane of its movement along the transverse guides. The machine is equipped with a rotary plate, hinged on the support, with a mechanism for its rotation and fixation in the vertical plane. The tool holder is placed on the plate.
EFFECT: reduced wear of the cutter and increased accuracy of wheel pair processing.
