FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for protecting the walls of a vacuum chamber from spraying with evaporation products of the material being welded or deposited and can be used in various fields of mechanical engineering. The protection device consists of metal panels made of non-magnetic material, bolted to the pads, which are welded to the inner wall of the vacuum chamber. There are four holes on each panel for reliable and quick installation on the pads. The panels are made along the adjacent edges of the joint with a two-stage bend and a reciprocal single-stage bend to connect with each other and prevent metal vapor from entering the joint between the panels. The two-stage bend of each panel during assembly goes beyond the reciprocal single-stage bend of the subsequent panel. At least one panel has one hole for communication with the vacuum system for pumping and air intake. For protection, a protective grid is installed on the hole.
EFFECT: device provides effective protection of the walls of the vacuum chamber from spraying during welding of various materials, improving the quality of the welded joint, minimum maintenance time of the device and minimum time of decommissioning of electron beam installations.
