FIELD: solid laundry detergent composition production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a solid laundry detergent composition from free-flowing particles. Described is a method for producing a solid laundry detergent composition from free-flowing particles, which includes the steps of: (a) forming a mixture by bringing into contact: (i) a molten fatty acid, where the fatty acid has the structure R-COOH, where R is an alkyl chain C7-C23; (ii) a liquid alkaline ingredient, and (iii) a nonionic surfactant, which is an ethoxylated C8-C18 alkyl alcohol having an average degree of ethoxylation from 3 to 10, to obtain a mixture containing: (i) a partially neutralized fatty acid component that contains a fatty acid and soap; (ii) a nonionic surfactant; and (iii) water, wherein the molar ratio of fatty acid and liquid alkaline ingredient in contact with each other in step (a) is greater than 1:1; (b) bringing the mixture obtained in step (a) into contact with a laundry detergent to form a solid free-flowing particle laundry detergent composition, wherein in step (b) the mixture is brought into contact with the laundry detergent by spraying the mixture at a temperature of more than 50°C per washing powder, wherein the laundry detergent contains a detergent component, which is an anionic detergent surfactant, wherein the solid laundry detergent composition of free-flowing particles contains: (i) a nonionic surfactant, which is an ethoxylated C8-C18 alkyl alcohol, having an average degree of ethoxylation from 3 to 10; (ii) soap; (iii) a fatty acid, where the fatty acid has the structure R-COOH, where R is a C7-C23 alkyl chain; (iv) water; and (v) a detergent component that is an anionic detergent surfactant.

EFFECT: composition exhibits improved powder flow characteristics.
