FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in the restoration of long-standing damage to the biceps tendon of the shoulder. Replacement of the defect of the biceps tendon of the shoulder is performed with an autograft from the tendons of the extensors of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th toes. To do this, a tendon autograft is passed through the proximal end of the biceps tendon of the shoulder according to Pulvertaft, the formed tendon is stitched with a non-absorbable thread according to Krakow and immersed into the formed bone channel of radial tuberosity.
EFFECT: method provides defect replacement, restoration of the length and tension of the biceps tendon of the shoulder, as well as strong fixation to both the bone and the proximal tendon-muscle part through the use of free non-blood-supplied tendon autografts from the extensor tendons of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th toes having sufficient length and strength.
