FIELD: connecting mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a connector for butt joint of two chipboards. The connector is made with two parts in the form of U-shaped brackets (2a, 2b) with two outer arms (3) of the bracket. At the same time, brackets are turned by 90° relatively to each other and made with the possibility of sliding into each other to a locked mounting position, and outer arms have, respectively, rear insert section (4) to be inserted into round hole (22a, 22b) of one chipboard (21a, 21b) and front insert section (5) forming a free end of the bracket, made with the possibility of unclenching, to be inserted into round hole (3a, 3b) of another chipboard (21b, 21a). Brackets also have middle arm (6) of the bracket to unclench mentioned both front insert sections (5) of another bracket in the mounting position, and at least one locking section (10, 11; 18, 19) to mutual locking of both brackets (2a, 2b) in the mounting position. In this case, outer sides (8) of rear insert sections (4) are made, correspondingly, in the form of partial side surfaces of the same circular cylinder or in the form of partial side surfaces of the same conical surface, which has a taper angle of less than 2°.
EFFECT: reduction in butt forces with provision of the possibility of connecting structural elements to each other without a gap.
