SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an electronic aerosol-generating apparatus, as well as a method for controlling the electronic aerosol-generating apparatus and a machine-readable data storage medium. Electronic aerosol-generating apparatus comprises a control unit and a heating unit heating the aerosol-generating base material with the energy supplied from the power source. The control unit is made so that energy is not supplied from the power source to the heating unit when the voltage of the power supply is below the threshold voltage indicating that there is a residual capacity in the power source sufficient to consume one unit of unused aerosol-generating base material. The threshold voltage is configured to be changed depending on the residual capacity of the power source.

EFFECT: prevented unstable operation of the electronic apparatus including a step-up DC converter when the residual capacity of the power source is sufficient to consume one unit of the aerosol-generating base material.
