FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to the field of railway and motor transportation. System for moving cargo comprises jacks, a horizontal structure depressed when lifted by the jacks, and a structure in the form of a portal. The horizontal structure is made in the form of a platform isolated from the rest of the track, whereto the rolling stock, namely a car or an automobile, is supplied. The platform is equipped with 1,520 mm gauge rail tracks with decking to the level of the top of the rail head. A carriage with a hoisting apparatus and cargo cables is mounted to the bridge of the structure in the form of a portal. The hoisting apparatus and the cables ensure retention of the cargo in air for changing the rolling stock.

EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities of the method allowing for application thereof at least in the field of railway and motor transportation, as well as implementation of alternative systems and methods for moving goods to perform operations in loading, unloading and reloading cargo.
