FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a method for accelerating post-harvest ripening of winter wheat seeds, including performing post-harvest cleaning, bringing the seeds to standard moisture content within 2 to 3 days after harvesting and placing in a closed air and light impermeable container for exposure. The volume of the container is filled with seeds at 75 to 80%, and the concentration of ethylene gas in the air environment is 0.5 to 1.0 mg/m3, wherein the seeds are sampled daily in the process of exposure, followed by germination.
EFFECT: method provides a possibility of minimising the time between grain harvesting and seeding within optimal agrotechnical terms.
