SUBSTANCE: method for wheat seedling evaluation implies arrangement of seeds on dampened bed, infection of seeds with Mucor and isolated sprouting of each seed at temperature varying within 20 to 25°С range. Germinating capacity is determined on the 4th or 5th day of sprouting by counting affected seeds. When damaged seeds are present, germinating capacity is determined according to the following formula: GC=100-(A- (D*К)) where GC - germinating capacity, %, A - number of affected seeds, %, D - number of damaged seeds, %, К - correction factor.
EFFECT: seed quality evaluation during harvesting and exception of nongrade grain from storing.
