SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to operations for pumping technical fluids into a well. To implement a method for control of pumps of a pumping system, an order of starting pumps of the pumping system is created to perform an operation of hydraulic fracturing of an underground reservoir, and the distribution of costs for pumps is coordinated. To create the starting order, an ordinal list of pumps is determined that do not contain enough pumps for pumping hydraulic fracturing fluid for the hydraulic fracturing operation. Then, iterative repetition is carried out until the ordinal list of pumps contains a sufficient number of pumps for pumping hydraulic fracturing fluid for the hydraulic fracturing operation. The next pump is identified that is not in the ordinal list of pumps and is available for pumping hydraulic fracturing fluid for the hydraulic fracturing operation. The identified next pump available for hydraulic fracturing fluid is added to the end of the current ordinal list of pumps. According to the second option, the method is intended to perform a pumping operation. A pump control device contains a coordinating controller made with the possibility of connection with the provision of communication to controllers of pumping units of two or more pumping units. Each controller of the pumping unit communicates with at least one of: a frequency-controlled drive, an engine throttle, a gear switcher, a main propulsor or a transmission mechanism of the corresponding pumping unit. The coordinating controller contains: a programmable processor with a storage device; and an interface circuit connected to an input device. The processor is made with the possibility of processing encoded commands from the input device and transmitting encoded commands to at least one of controllers of pumping units.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency and reliability of operations for pumping technical fluids into a well.
