FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: changing the total pumping speed of the plurality of pumping units by adjusting the individual pumping rates of the pumping units, wherein each temporary drop or peak of a separate pumping rate of one of the pumping units is automatically compensated by a given time adjustment of the separate pumping rate of the other one or more of the pumping units, in order to thereby reduce the effect of temporary decay or peak on the total pumping rate of pumping units.
EFFECT: disclosed is control of multiple pump units for hydraulic fracturing to ensure smooth correction of total flow rate.
