SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for the protection and authentication of documents. The expected result is achieved by receiving an input image of a document, the boundaries and internal structure of which are considered known, and the boundaries of the localized document do not necessarily coincide with the boundaries of the input image, independent analysis of the specified areas of the document image for certain anomalies, the occurrence of which is possible when shooting from the screen; at the same time, in order to decide that the input image has a digital copy instead of a physical document, it is sufficient to identify at least one of the specified types of anomalies, and the analyzed anomalies are divided by the type of analyzed areas: analysis of the entire image of the document inside the localized borders (A1), the image of the borders of the document (A2) or the document zone (A3) selected in accordance with the known structure of the document.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and reliability of determining (recognizing) the fact of presenting a digital copy of the document in the form of a screen reshoot.
