FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. An electric motor for vehicles contains a two-way axial nonsalient-pole stator with radially arranged coils of windings and two flat parts of an axial asynchronous rotor. The rotor parts are located on both sides of the stator and contain a short-circuited winding in the form of a flat radial squirrel cage. The winding is electrically connected along the entire inner and outer diameter with a short-circuiting washer. The washer is made of a material with high electrical conductivity. The magnetic circuit is located in the space between a row of squirrel cage rods and the short-circuiting washer that plays the role of an amplifier circuit.
EFFECT: functionality of the electric motor is expanded.
