FIELD: computing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computing technology for displaying a possible word and to a graphic user interface. The technical result is achieved by a method including: determining the type of application calling the input method; according to the type, determining the information of the context area corresponding to the type; according to the context area information, determining the dictionary corresponding to the context area information; and, in the area of a possible default option for the input method, displaying at least one possible word contained in the dictionary and satisfying to a preset condition.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of information input by the user using the input method.
