FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for constructing a calibration gravimetric test range (CGP) relates to physical geodesy, in particular, to a method for constructing a CGP applying geosatellite technology and astro-geodetic and gravimetric measurements (AGGM). CGP is intended for estimating the accuracy of the characteristics of the disturbing potential (ζ, Δg, ξ, η, T) obtained by means of global mathematical geopotential models, increasing the accuracy and level of detail thereof, and putting to further use for surveying and navigation support of the military forces. Points with measured geodetic and normal altitude (not lower than class II geometric levelling) are taken as the origin points of the test range. If the points are not sufficiently dense, geodetic and levelling altitudes of additional points are measured. The measured increments of the quasi-geoid altitudes are levelled according to the Gauss method. In order to create a uniform positioning of the points, the quasi-geoid altitudes are interpolated by the continued fractions method at the nodal points of the network. The altitudes of the quasi-geoid selected for research of the model of the external gravitational field of the Earth (EGFE) on the nodal points of the levelled points of the test range are calculated. The "measured" and "calculated" quasi-geoid altitudes are subjected to a comparative analysis, and a systematic error is calculated. The quality of harmonic coefficients of the model of geopotential is additionally analysed using high order inertia tensors.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of surveying, navigation, and geoinformation support due to the parameters of the EGFE model being verified using the proposed method for constructing the CGP.
