FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in the processing of metal chips and sludge waste from the metallurgical industry. Metal chips, consisting of ferrous metal chips and aluminum alloy chips, are crushed, cleaned, a binder is added, mixed and compacted in a mold. Ferrous metal chips are combined with aluminum alloy chips in the ratio, wt.%: ferrous metal chips - 70, aluminum alloy chips - 30, mixed for 0.5-1 min and loaded into the mold matrix by 1/3. Then a binder is added at the rate of 30-35% of the volume of metal shavings, which is used as powdered components in the following wt.% ratio: peat - 10, bentonite - 5, marshalite - 10, sludge from electric furnaces with an iron oxide content of Fe2O3 60-80 % - the rest, and as a paste-forming agent, dextrin glue is used, prepared from the following components, at the following ratio, wt.%: glycerin (plasticizer) - 5-10, borax - 5-10, water - 25-30, yellow dextrin - the rest. The consumption of the paste-forming agent is 30-35% by weight of the powdered components. Next, the rest of the metal chips are added, compacted, pushed out of the mold and dried at a temperature of 80°C for 0.5-1.0 hours.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the strength and physico-chemical stability of the briquettes, the expansion of the raw material base.
