FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of melamine, specifically to a method for producing melem C6H6N1 by thermolysis of a less condensed C-N-H compound. The method is characterized by the fact that melamine hydrochloride semihydrate C3H6N6·HCl·0,5H2O is used as the starting compound, and the synthesis is carried out in a sealed reactor in a nitrogen atmosphere at a temperature of 330-350°C for 8-10 hours.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to obtain melem in a less energy-intensive way and with a high yield.
