SUBSTANCE: polyhedral borohydride compounds and melamine derivatives, namely 2,4-diamine-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate hydrate with the composition (C₉H₉N₅)₂⋅H₂B₁₂H₁₂⋅H₂O. Also proposed is a method for preparing 2,4-diamine-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate hydrate of the specified composition and its use as a precipitating form of B₁₂H₁₂^2- anion, followed by obtaining from it soluble salts of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborates.

EFFECT: expanding the range of compounds suitable for their use as a precipitation form of B₁₂H₁₂^2- anion, characterized by the ease of obtaining soluble dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborates from it, using cheaper, non-toxic, non-explosive and accessible reagents.
