FIELD: filtration.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration device (1) capable of separating and collecting dust and particles produced by brake assembly pads, as well as to the use of this device for the separation and collection of brake dust. In device case (2), there is first separation unit (10) having air filtering means (6), which is usually annular and limits inlet zone (Z1), where, for example tangentially air comes, and outlet zone (Z2) communicating with case outlet (4) for removal of purified air. Inlet zone (Z1) communicates with lower stage (8), in which there is second separation unit (20) for separation of water (W) from particles falling out of inlet zone (Z1).
EFFECT: filtration, collection of clean water, and, if necessary, its removal due to gravity runoff, wherein falling particles remain inside a device.
