FIELD: valve engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of valve engineering, in particular to pipeline valve valves intended for use in pipelines for various working media. Welded wedge gate valve contains a body, a cover, a stem, at one end of which a wedge is fixed, and at the opposite end - a flywheel. A stuffing box assembly, a rack and a bearing assembly are placed on the rod. The body is made in the form of a tee, adapters are welded to the side branches of the latter, at one end of which flanges are welded. A connecting flange is welded to the central branch, on which an additional connecting flange is installed, by means of a gasket. An elliptical plug equipped with a central hole is welded to the latter. The gland of the gland assembly is installed in the central hole. A method for assembling a welded wedge gate valve is also described.

EFFECT: use of the welding method for the body layout, reduction of weight characteristics, reduction of labor intensity of manufacturing, efficiency of assembly of the wedge gate valve body, while maintaining tightness.
