FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine and concerns the treatment of nonspecific bronchopneumonia in calves. The method includes the use of novocaine blockade of the thoracic splanchnic nerves and sympathetic trunks, subcutaneous administration of Tetravit at a dose of 2 ml per animal on days 1 and 5 of treatment. At the same time, novocaine blockade of the thoracic splanchnic nerves and sympathetic trunks is carried out according to the method according to M.Sh. Shakurov on the 1st, 4th, 8th day of treatment with a 0.5% solution of novocaine at a dose of 0.3 ml/kg of body weight. Additionally, within 3-8 days, an antibacterial decoction prepared from medicinal herbs of licorice - 30 g, horsetail - 35 g and lungwort - 35 g is injected into the animal at a dose of 20 ml 2 times a day and bentonite clay at a dose of 2% of the main diet. Also, the immunostimulator "Azoksivet" is administered intramuscularly once a day for 6 days at a dose of 3 ml per head.
EFFECT: method increases the effectiveness of the treatment of nonspecific bronchopneumonia in calves.
