METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF BRONCHOPNEUMONIA IN CALVES Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61K31/00 

FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the field of veterinary medicine. The calves for 3-7 days are given antibacterial drug intramuscularly: antibiotics of tetracyclines, aminoglycosides, polymixins, penicillins, macrolides groups, quinoxaline derivative or quinolone considering its activity against bacterial agents participating in etiology and pathogenesis of bronchopneumonia. On treatment days 1, 4 and 7 the Novocain blockade of chest splanchnic nerves and sympathetic trunks is performed with 0.5% Novocain solution in dose 0.3 ml/kg of body mass. Also the intramuscular injection of Trivit is given twice in dose 2 ml per animal in treatment days 1 and 5. Additionally once in the first treatment day 0.66% solution of hydrogen peroxide on sterile normal saline is given intravenously in dose 0.4 ml/kg of body mass.

EFFECT: method provides for increased effectiveness of treatment of bronchopneumonia in calves.
