FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: invention relates to the field of radio engineering, in particular, to antenna equipment, and can be used as antennas for wireless radio access systems. Substance: UHF antenna, omnidirectional in a horizontal plane, comprises a parabolic mirror, a parabolic mirror irradiator, a UHF path powering the parabolic mirror irradiator, and a conical reflector, the size of the base whereof matches the aperture size of the parabolic mirror. The novel feature of the proposed antenna design is the fact the parabolic mirror irradiator is powered via a coaxial cable and is made in the form of an annular slot antenna, which is a type of discone antenna with an endovibrator filled with a closed-porosity dielectric material. Use of the annular slot antenna with a coaxial cable as an irradiator allows for the frequency overlap range of the antenna to be as much as doubled, and also provides a significant structural simplification of the antenna and allows for a reduction in the production cost thereof.
EFFECT: increase in the broadbandness of the UHF antenna omnidirectional in the horizontal plane, structural simplification of the irradiator and UHF path thereof.
