FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication equipment and can be used in laser free-space information transmission systems. To realise the described result, the coordinates and elevation above sea level are determined on each FSO transceiver, the coordinates and elevation above sea level are transmitted to the corresponding transceiver, the true bearing and the angle of elevation are determined for each transceiver, the true bearing is converted into magnetic bearing, the values of the magnetic bearing and the true angle of elevation are set as the initial direction. The apparatus consists of, located in the body of the FSO transceiver, an optical transceiver (OPP) including in its body a laser with a power source, collimating optics, a photodetector, as well as an electronic control unit (ECU) and a swing apparatus (OPU), located in the body of the FSO transceiver.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and speed of aiming the line of sight of an FSO transceiver at the corresponding transceiver in the horizontal and vertical planes.
