FIELD: space launch vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for ground launch of space launch vehicles (LV), incl. with side blocks. When taking off to a height of 40-60 m, LV rocket engines receive oxidizer and fuel from ground storage facilities on the launch pad by means of articulated cranked fueling cable masts equipped with pneumatic actuators for mutual rotation of the knees. These masts, together with the steering motors, keep the launch vehicle in a vertical position during takeoff. Just before the moment of the maximum rise of the ends of the charging cable-masts, their docking nodes are fired from the launch vehicle to a safe distance, preventing a collision with the side blocks. LV rocket engines are switched to power from LV tanks, and refueling cable-masts are lowered to their original position.
EFFECT: energy savings required for launching payloads into near-Earth orbits.
