SUBSTANCE: methods for pre-launch preparation of launch vehicles (LVs) with liquid propellant engines using gel-like rocket fuel with a powdered metal additive. Pre-launch preparation of the launch vehicle includes assembly of the launch vehicle, transport operations, installation of the launch vehicle on the launch facility, docking of communication connectors located on board the launch vehicle with mating communication connectors of ground systems, instrumentation, testing and preparatory operations, undocking of connectors of ground systems before launch and refuelling of the launch vehicle rocket fuel components. Filling the launch vehicle with gel fuel is carried out in the temperature range corresponding to stable gelation, and subsequent pre-launch operations with a filled tank before undocking the connectors of the ground systems are carried out under conditions ensuring the maintenance of stable gelation.

EFFECT: increased launch reliability of launch vehicles is achieved.
