FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of seismic logging and can be used for vertical seismic profiling (VSP) and polarisation method vertical seismic profiling (PM VSP) in vertical, inclined and horizontal boreholes. The probe can be used in exploratory cased boreholes during geophysical exploration of petroleum, gas and other mineral fields. The appliance comprises a sensor body with a clamping apparatus. The sensor body is installed on a rigid rod, configured to move freely along and around said rod. The rod is preferably made as a pumping rod of a downhole pumping unit.
EFFECT: advancement of the appliance in a borehole with any degree of inclination is provided by pushing the probe (chain of appliances) in the borehole with a force directed along the borehole.
