FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for determining the content of free gas at the suction of a borehole pump. The method is based on the use of a pressure sensor in the pump suction area. A temperature sensor is additionally placed next to the pressure sensor. A moisture meter is installed above the pump in the lift pipe closest to the pump. According to the readings of two sensors, the moisture meter and previously obtained information on the degassing of reservoir oil, the volume of free gas, the volume of the liquid phase of the gas-liquid mixture and the content of free gas are determined sequentially for 1 mol of reservoir oil as part of the gas-liquid mixture in the pump zone.
EFFECT: determination of the free gas content in the flow of the production fluid is achieved.
