FIELD: sound absorption.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to sound-absorbing structures for electric machines. A rotating electric machine contains a rotor located inside a rotor case, an air flow channel passing from the rotor case to a muffler and, through it, to an outlet. The muffler contains an air flow channel located adjacently to a sound-absorbing column containing the first part containing the first sound-absorbing material, and the second part containing a micro-perforated panel and a resonator cavity. A method for the prevention of aerodynamic noise from a ventilation channel of the rotating electric machine includes stages of placement of the rotor inside the rotor case, provision of the air flow channel, provision of the muffler, passage of cooling air along the air flow channel after the first part, and passage of cooling air along the air flow channel after the second part of the sound-absorbing column.
EFFECT: weakening effects of aerodynamic noise from electric machines is achieved.
