SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of robotics and can be used in creation of continuous path control systems for multi-stage manipulators, applied for processing long-length objects or distanced objects. The control method ensures automatic movement of the multi-stage manipulator together with the associated coordinate system thereof in three-dimensional space so that the working tool secured in the working body thereof, located in accordance with the programme values of the elements of three vectors set in the absolute coordinate system, always performs the assigned process operations on separate distanced or long-length objects until the next work cycle is finished, without additional manual reinstallation of the manipulator or the objects of work in three-dimensional space.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows the process capabilities of the manipulator to be expanded.
