SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of decorative processing of glass products and can be used in the construction industry in the manufacture of stained-glass windows, decorative panels, etc. The method for iridescence of flat glass includes evaporation and deposition of metal salts by the outgoing flow of plasma-forming gases of an electric arc plasma torch onto the surface of the glass. Moreover, an aqueous solution of an iridizing mixture containing metal salts is prepared and fed into the plasma burner of an electric arc plasma torch. In addition, the iridescence of flat glass is carried out on a plate conveyor at a speed of 10-12 mm/s.

EFFECT: reduction in the duration and energy intensity of the manufacturing process, a reduction in the consumption of salt for the preparation of an iridizing mixture.
