FIELD: chemistry; construction; ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry, construction, ecology, reduction in CO2 content in the atmosphere, limitation of global warming; it can be used to convert CO2 into carbon fibers. CO2 is introduced into the algae biomass, producing triglycerides, from which glycerin is obtained. In the GtM process, methanol is obtained from glycerin, from which propylene is obtained in the MOBIL process. In the SOHIO process, acrylonitrile is obtained from propylene, from which polyacrylonitrile, necessary for the production of carbon fibers, is obtained by polymerization. Methanol can also be obtained by one of following options: by gasification of biomass, into which CO2 is introduced, by carrying out the BtL process from synthetic gas; via a by-product – biodiesel, which is converted by autothermal reforming (ATR) into synthetic gas, followed by the BtL process; or from CO2 using Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. CO2 is obtained from waste gases of power plants, technological CO2 emissions from steel, cement and aluminum production, from natural sources such as air, from waste gases of electricity production based on natural biomass. To obtain energy, in the proposed method, renewable sources are used – wind and photovoltaic systems.
EFFECT: energy intensity of the carbon fiber production process is reduced due to the use of renewable sources of raw materials and energy, the ecology is improved due to CO2 capture.
