FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a sleeve, seamless, vapor-permeable, suitable for smoking, biaxially oriented and partially or completely thermally fixed food shell with at least two layers based on thermoplastic polymers. The shell contains at least one layer A, which does not form an inner layer, and an inner layer I. The layer A includes a mixture of aliphatic (co)polyamide and at least one hydrophilic polymer. The layer I includes a mixture of aliphatic or isocyclic (co)polyamide in the amount from 40 to 90 wt.% and from 10 to 60 wt.% of block copolymer, which is selected from simple polyester amide and polyester-ester copolymer. The vapor-permeability of the food shell is from 80 to 220 g/m2/day. The shell is obtained by a method for sleeve extrusion with blowing or a method for biaxial sleeve stretching-orientation. The shell is provided, in particular, for the use as an artificial sausage shell, in particular, for air-dried or raw smoked sausage.

EFFECT: obtained food shell has purposefully adjusted adhesion of the inner surface to filled sausage mass, is economical and easy-to-manufacture, as well as corresponds to technical requirements for the production of smoked and/or dried sausage products.
