FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in connecting parts made of titanium and alloys thereof by pressure while heating by diffusion welding, primarily cylindrical parts with flat connecting surfaces. Apparatus comprises a tightly sealed welding chamber, a heater, a work bench, and a pressure element in the form of a stem for transmitting welding pressure perpendicular to the connecting surfaces of the parts. The stem of the pressure element is made in the form of a screw of a screw mechanism with non-self-braking thread. The nut of the mechanism perceives the process load and is installed in the guide sleeve for axial rotation-free movement.
EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities of the apparatus with an increase in the quality of the finished products.
