SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction of underground reservoirs. The method for constructing an underground tunnel reservoir in a suite of rock salt formations of limited capacity provides for drilling vertical and vertical-horizontal wells, installation of casing and process pipes in wells, crosscutting of wells along the salt formation, dissolution of rocks by water supply through the process column of pipes of a vertical-horizontal well with brine extraction along the process column of pipes of a vertical well. A vertical-horizontal well enters a horizontal position near the salt formation bottom. Casing pipes of vertical and vertical-horizontal wells are installed in the roofing of the upper layer of rock salt. The process column shoe of vertical borehole pipes is installed near the bottom of the lower salt formation. The process column shoe of a vertical-horizontal well is installed at the outlet of this well in the lower formation. The dissolution of the rocks of the lower salt formation by water supply is carried out to the maximum exposure of the roofing of the formation. The upper rock salt formation is not processed.

EFFECT: increase in the geometric volume and capacity of the tunnel reservoir is achieved while maintaining its reliability and tightness.
