SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. A device is proposed for implementing a method for harvesting linen flax, containing a frame on which a pick-up drum with fingers, a copying wheel, a linen flax tape wrapper with a cross belt, a device for spreading a linen flax tape and a leveling roller placed between the pick-up drum and a device for spreading under the linen flax tape wrapper are mounted. In this case, the leveling roller is combined with the copying wheel, forming a leveling-copying roller. Also, the device contains a rolling roller, which is placed behind the device for spreading the linen flax tape. The leveling-copying and rolling rollers are located on the rotary frames of the flax ribbon wrapper and the rolling roller, pivotally connected to the frame of the device, and have balancing springs connected with the frame of the device at the first ends, and with the opposite ends with the rotary frames. A method implemented using the specified device is also proposed.

EFFECT: invention provides an improvement in the quality of spreading the tape of wrapped stems on the stubble field.
