FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of wrapping flax tapes comprises its picking up, transportation with simultaneous tumbling by 180° and spreading out on the preliminary compacted surface of flax. Before spreading out the tape is sealed and compacting in the contact area of the wrapped tape with flax is carried out with a gap. Compacting is carried out to form a wavy surface.
EFFECT: reduction in capillary contact of stems with the soil at increasing homogeneity of conditions of management of stems on the length of the tape relative to the soil surface, maintenance of the tape structure.
