SUBSTANCE: method of fluffing flax strips comprises raising of flax strip from the flax surface, its movement in the direction opposite to the raising direction and laying on the flax surface. Before laying the flax strip is exposed to influences reducing the strength of interaction of stems in the layer.

EFFECT: use of this invention enables to increase the porosity of a flax strip layer with the maximum retaining the initial unhomogeneity of linear density of the strip along its length.
