INERTIAL ROTARY ENGINE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F01D1/32

Abstract RU 2776606 C2

FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, namely to inertial rotary engines. The engine includes a rotor with nozzles for the reactive output of working fluid (hereinafter – WF) and output shaft 4, connected to each other. The engine contains WF formation unit1, WF supply distributor 2, a case including support walls 22a and 22b, in which the rotor is fixed to shaft 4, on one side, through connection 35, and, on the other side, to distributor 2, which, in turn, is connected to unit 1 through WF supply channel 39. Distributor 2 consists of a disk with bypass channels-windows 31a and 31b made in the form of cavities. The rotor consists of one or several pairs of “piston-axis-lever” movable systems, synchronized with each other, a working chamber of variable volume, one or several pairs of additional chambers of variable volume. Windows with nozzles are made between working and one or several additional chambers. Channel 39 is permanently connected to bypass channels-windows 31a and 31b and to the working chamber. Each “axis-piston-lever” system with movable centers of mass, which, when the rotor is rotated, are made with the possibility of changing their position relatively to the axis of rotation of the rotor, is made of piston 7a and 7b rigidly attached to axis 12a and 12b, which, in turn, is fixed to its lever 10a and 10b with a roller at its end. Each axis 12a and 12b has the possibility of rotation inside coaxially mounted bearing supports of outer disc 6, bearing supports of inner disc 5, and in holes connecting the rotor to shaft 4. The working chamber is hermetically sealed, formed by radial walls, frontal surfaces of movable pistons, and disks 5 and 6. Additional chambers of variable volume are formed by back sides of pistons 7a and 7b, radial walls and walls 22a and 22b, receiving an impulse, located between disks 5 and 6, and they have windows with nozzles for the reactive output of working fluid ejected by pistons 7a and 7b. In disk 6, bypass windows 30a and 30b are made, which, when the rotor is rotated during odd clock cycles, are blocked by jumpers, and during even clock cycles, bypass channels-windows 31a and 31b are made with the possibility of combination with bypass windows 30a and 30b, forming a single channel providing the flow of WF from unit 1 both into the working chamber, and into additional chambers. A size of movable “axis-piston-lever” systems is made to ensure the rolling of these systems during the execution of even cycles along walls 22a and 22b.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a higher specific power.
