FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to devices for cooling the barrels of small arms. The device for cooling barrels of automatic weapons contains a casing with holes. The holes are designed for air intake and are equal to the diameter of the barrel. The casing is mounted on the breech breech and secured with a coupling and a latch. In the front part, a cone-type flame arrester is put on the barrel with a cylindrical rear part having channels for air injection, with inlet cones of the subsonic area of the Laval nozzle. The flame arrester is threaded to the casing.
EFFECT: providing forced ventilation of air near the surface of the barrel, increasing the efficiency of cooling.
