FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of firearms and relates to the use when creating samples of artillery and small arms. Before shooting from firearms the ammunition is laid, consisting of a powder charge and a projectile, into the breech of the main barrel, a part of which has a gap in the guide barrel. Acceleration of the main barrel inside the guide in the direction of the muzzle of the main barrel is carried out, followed by ignition of the powder charge. And in the gap between the barrels through the flow restrictors the gaseous medium is fed under pressure to form a gas-static layer in the gap, centring the main barrel in the guide, and preventing the active friction between their surfaces. And the main barrel is made in the form of a differential piston with a rod. The guide barrel is made in the form of a cylinder reciprocal to the piston. Along the guide barrel there is a channel connected with its one end to the high pressure source and with the other end - through the flow restrictors with the gap between the inner surface of the guide barrel and the outer surface of the piston and its rod to form a gas-static bearing layer.
EFFECT: increase in the range and accuracy of shooting of firearms is achieved.
