FIELD: pipeline systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to launch scrapers into a pipeline system. The scraper launch system with a directional jet pulse contains fluid injector assembly (80) of a scraper launch-reception chamber, which has longitudinally passing pipe (87) containing inlet end (99), outlet end (101), and at least one bend (105) located between the specified ends at an acute angle α relatively to a horizontal. There is flange (89) with a flat profile, located at inlet end (99) and containing a leakage path through flange (89) with a flat profile and a set of bolt holes. There is flange (91) with a curved profile, located at outlet end (101) and containing a leakage path through flange (91) with a curved profile and a hole. There is a nozzle connected to longitudinally passing pipe (87) and located, at least partially, in the specified hole. There is a line for launching the scraper, surrounding longitudinally passing pipe (87) between inlet (99) and outlet (101) ends and forming an annular space around the longitudinally passing pipe. The annular space is connected to leakage paths through flanges (89) and (91) with a flat and curved profile. When fluid injector assembly (81) of the scraper launch-reception chamber is installed in a hole of a sidewall of the scraper launch-reception chamber, the nozzle is oriented to feed a fluid jet in the downstream direction. The fluid jet has a velocity exceeding a velocity of a flow through the main pipeline to create concentrated forces significantly exceeding forces generated during the flow of a pipeline product into the rear part of the specified launch system, as in the case of typical operation of the scraper launch line. A scraper launch-reception chamber, and a method for launching a scraper into a pipeline system are disclosed.
EFFECT: providing a simpler and failure-free launch of a scraper or a diagnostic tool into a pipeline system.
