FIELD: nuclear power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a plate heat exchanger used in a pool type liquid-metal reactor. The heat exchanger with etched channels includes a core formed of a package of plates connected together with diffuse welding. The core has an upper surface, a lower surface located opposite to the upper surface, the first side surface extending between the upper surface and the lower surface, and the second side surface located opposite the first side surface. The plate heat exchanger with etched channels includes: a set of channels of the first contour formed in the core, wherein each channel of the first contour extends from an inlet of the first contour formed in the first side surface to an outlet of the first contour formed in the second side surface, and a set of channels of the second contour formed in the core. In this case, each channel of the second contour extends between at least some of channels of the first contour from an inlet of the second contour formed in the upper surface to an outlet of the second contour formed in the upper surface.
EFFECT: increase in the nuclear safety of a pool type nuclear reactor due to an increase in the efficiency of cooling the reactor.
