FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: the invention relates to the field of hydroacoustics and is intended for detecting objects simultaneously observed in the sector scan of listening. Substance: method is based on receiving a hydroacoustic noise process with a multi-element antenna with a developed aperture in the horizontal plane and forming a set of spatial channels in the scan sector, wherein time frequency processing of the noise process is simultaneously conducted in each of said channels, resulting in the formation of a panoramic indicator picture of the noise field; and a decision is made on detecting an object in a specific direction based on the analysis of the visual information. In the implementation of the method, a panoramic acoustic field is additionally formed in the stereo headphones, wherefor a sound process is formed for the left and right channels of the stereo headphones, summing the time sequences at the output of each spatial channel after a time delay corresponding to the direction of the channel in the horizontal plane; and in order to detect the object, analysis of both visual and auditory information is used.
EFFECT: provided simultaneous listening of the entire acoustic horizon in the entire range of angles of approach in a stereo representation in the form of a panoramic acoustic field for the purpose of supplementing the visual information provided to the operator in the form of an indicator picture; and increase on the potential possibilities in the detection of noisy objects.
