FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when processing the noise emission signal of an object in hydroacoustic systems to solve the problem of localizing the object according to the depth of its immersion. The method carries out joint scanning by the angle of arrival of the signal in the vertical plane and scanning by the arrival delay of paired beams.
EFFECT: taking into account the delays between paired beams arriving at each antenna element from a specific immersion depth of the object, for in-phase addition of signals and increasing the resulting power of the received signal, which, in turn, leads to increased noise immunity.
