FIELD: radio location.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio location and can be used for protection of optoelectronic tools (OET) from powerful optical emissions. For this purpose, optical emissions of the OET are received, N decoy optical targets (DOT) are installed around the OET at a distance from the OET, outside of which the flux of incident powerful laser emission (PLE) of a powerful laser complex (PLC) will not hit the OET at a set survival distance, wherein the distance between adjacent DOTs constitutes the maximum value of the radius of the area wherein the flux of location emission of the PLC will irradiate at least one DOT at a set survival distance, the parameters of the OET are simulated by the DOT while irradiating with location emission and PLE of the PLC, a signal simulating hitting the OET DOT with PLE of the PLC is generated and transmitted on the OET.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of protecting the OET from damage by optical emission.
