FIELD: storage.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenic fuel tanks; it can be used as a system for local storage of liquefied natural gas (hereinafter – LNG) on passenger cars, heavy vehicles and other means of transportation, as well as small generator sets. A subcompact cryogenic tank of a vehicle operating on LNG consists of an outer casing and an inner vessel in the form of axial expansion bellows fixed to an outer container with a stationary support, having in an inter-wall space a layer of shield-vacuum heat insulation. It contains austenite nickeled steel inner and steel stainless outer walls, as well as membrane connected by conical heat bridges. It contains a compensation tank with a connecting tube, an ultrasound meter located in the upper part of a bellows container; a refueling pipeline containing a refueling neck, a shut-off and control valve, a check valve, LNG release device. It also contains a drainage-boost pipeline with a boost evaporator, a shut-off valve, and a pressure adjuster, a fuel issuing pipeline, on which the shut-off valve, a high-speed valve, and an evaporator-heat-exchanger are located. An electric engine with a system of compression-stretching of a compensator includes a piston, gearing with an electromagnetic coupling, a rod, a transmission mechanism, a shaft clamped in a rotor; supplying and reverse gas pipelines supporting atmospheric pressure in a space between inner and outer containers, shut-off and control and safety valves. At the same time, the inner vessel is made in the form of a bellows structure, is designed for forced change in a volume by means of shift of an elastic corrugated metal shell.

EFFECT: increase in a period of retention of liquid methane in a cryogenic fuel tank without drainage into the atmosphere, which will allow for an increase in economical and ecological indicators, solve the problem of short time of drainless storage of LNG.
