FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for creating maps reflecting the intra-field heterogeneity of the soil cover. Substance: a multitemporal soil line is developed for each studied point of the Earth's surface based on pairs of RED and NIR values from a set of tens of RED and NIR values from various frames of long-term satellite surveillance. The resulting data are approximated in the form of an ellipse, and the characteristics of the ellipse are obtained. A characteristic indicating the distance of the centre of the ellipse from the origin of coordinates of the spectral plane RED and NIR is selected from said characteristics of the ellipse. A soil map at a scale of 1:10000 and larger is built by grouping the values of the selected characteristic of the ellipse.

EFFECT: creation of maps reflecting the intra-field heterogeneity of the soil cover.
