SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in tests to evaluate the effectiveness of lubricating coolants (LC) used in metalworking processes. The method for evaluating the integrated efficiency of a lubricating coolant includes an assessment of the antifriction, anti-scuffing, anti-wear and cooling properties of the LC and the calculation of the coefficient of integrated efficiency according to the formula:

where Pc LC is the welding load obtained with the use of the tested LC; Pc water is the welding load obtained with the use of water; Vmax LC is the maximum cooling rate obtained with the use of the tested LC; Vmax water is the maximum cooling rate of water; Twater is the friction force obtained with the use of water; TLC is the friction force, obtained with the use of the tested coolant; Di water is the diameter of the wear spot obtained with the use of water; Di LC is the diameter of the wear spot obtained with the use of the tested LC. The most effective LC is determined by the highest value of the K coefficient.

EFFECT: invention provides a comprehensive assessment of the efficiency of LC and reduces the complexity of choosing the most effective LC.
