SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to segments of a plate for the separation of material and to a machine for the separation of material. Segments contain substrate with the front side and the rear side, wherein the rare side is configured so that it is attached to a support disc of a dispersant; rows of gears protruding from the front side of substrate, wherein each row is located along an arc extending from one side of a plate segment to the opposite side of the plate segment. Gears can be connected by a jumper covering a gap between neighboring gears, wherein the jumper is raised above the front side of substrate, so that the jumper is separated from the front surface by an open space in the gap. A gear in rows of gears can have the first face located remotely from the second face along a gear body with the first side of the gear and the second side of the gear, while there is a support extending from the first face of the gear to a support extending from the second face of the adjacent gear, wherein the support extending from the first face of the gear to the support extending from the second face of the adjacent gear meets it at a height above substrate, which is less than the full height of the gear. There is also can be a support extending from the first face of the gear to substrate only, adjacent to this first face of the gear, or, in the inclined direction, to the second face of the adjacent gear from the first face of the gear to substrate adjacent to this first face of the gear.
